Character: Vincent Brooks
Series: Catherine
Character Age: 32
Job: Host of Cheaters: CFUD Edition (Cancelled before Pilot)
Canon: Do you favor stability, or chase after the risk of reward? Vincent Brooks is a normal guy until a girl named Catherine comes into his life, throwing stability right out the window. After a cheating fling, Vincent tries to decide between Catherine, the vixen who eerily happens to be exactly his type, or Katherine, his longtime girlfriend who is pressuring him to take their relationship to the next level of commitment. What’s more, his nightmares become haunted by phases of climbing mountains of blocks while avoiding falling and dying in his sleep, a fate he shares with several other men at the hands of a faceless antagonist. Between reality and the nightmares, it’s up to Vincent to determine his future through them.

Vincent is an okay guy, but he’s not a great guy, to be honest. He’s got a good head on his shoulders, but instead of being upfront and honest, he’s quick to make up lies on the spot and gives into temptation. His behavior can switch between brash and panicked, whether it be over his situation with the girls or the nightmares. He has a habit of stringing people along if he absolutely has to. When out of a stressful situation, Vincent is laid back and aloof, with a bit of a snappy streak to him. The status quo is important to Vincent, and ultimately living comfortably.

Note: While the players vastly determine how Vincent ends up and the life he’s comfortable with, he’s taken from the end where: he decides to live for the moment and chooses neither girl, betting all of his money and pursuing a dream instead..

Listen, I’m not going to be able to help you with your problem unless you stop thinking with what you’ve got down below the belt and start thinking with what’s left of your brain. I think it’s stupid enough that I’m already giving you my time... but you’ve got to be honest. More honest. As... honest as you can manage. Sometimes someone bites off more than they can chew, and just because your girlfriend’s... undead remains-- stop me. Someone. Please? Divine justice loved fucking me over before, why can’t it be now.

So let's you and me, chat about the whole B-movie scenario we have working out for us, complete with a tagline like 'Zombie Love, It's not Necrophilia if you're both dead'... gross. If you're that desperate not to roam free without her, you just have to lay out how you feel. Be honest, and don't expect anything extra from being a nice guy. It gets real pathetic, real fast.

Anyway, if her shuffling around to other... more intact guys, physically and emotionally, is bothering you, why don’t you just give her some space? The more pressure you put on someone, the more they’re eager to shirk away. I mean, I have no idea how the ins and out of your zombie herd works. In fact, I’m attributing this to a victory dream now that I’m out of my nightmares, and it just happens to be a weird one. Tell her you’re there for her, and if she’s happy doing what she does, then let her have that going for her. You do have a raw, squishy, undead deal going on here. Walking around as target practice for the locals... man, it’s pathetic I can sympathize.

Why not take the time to meet other people? I don’t know where you congregate, but there might be a nice girl out there with both her eyes and still has most of her hair who might just be the one for you. I don’t know how death do us part works after you’re dead, so you can work with that too, can’t you? I’m sure some depressed locals would tell you you’re free as a bird... yet you’re still gnawing on that picture of your girlfriend.

You should let go a little. Chase your dream girl ... and try not to let them chase you.
